The Maltese Association of Psychiatry (MAP) agrees that Mount Carmel Hospital is not fit for delivery of adequate Mental Health Care and has been unfit for this purpose for a long time. The MAP endorses the building of a new hospital and the development of Community Mental Health Services and reiterates that no Psychiatric Services should continue to operate from Mount Carmel Hospital.
